Kittre as a baby puppy at Merci Isle.
A classic portrait of an irresistable puppy.

When Iva sent me the photo and asked if I would like to have her, my world stood still and a whole new chapter started in my life with Whippets!

We will be forever grateful to Iva and Jeffrey for their great generosity in letting Kittre come to Sweden. Although Kittre is no longer with us, she lives on through her progeny and the continued generations here at Signum.
She was a very special Whippet!

Kittre posing for the camera as a baby. She kept her outline and balance, and this is also very much an image of herself as a grown up mature Champion Whippet.

Kittre winning her class at the AWC National in California in April 1990 handled by Iva. The judge was Carol Willumsen (Willcare) and trophy presenter Barbara Henderson (Whippoorwill).

Kittre´'s litter brother Zoom (Ch Merci Isle Meridian) of course grew up to become an AWC National BIS-winner. He in turn sired the AWC Futurity and National BIS-winning Kestrel (Ch Merci Isle Burncoat Babylon).

(Ch Merci Isle Hot Flowers), and at left her grandmother Amber (Spectre Forever Amber).

(At the meet Kittre's mother Willow, finished her field title.)

Kittre went through 4 months quarantine in Sweden before she could come home to us. We went to visit her as often as possible, and everything went well.

Kittre made her Swedish debut at the big Stockholm show in December 1991. She won her first CC, CACIB and finished BOS under Sighthound authority John Reeve-Newson from Canada.

Kittre finished her Swedish championship quite easily, but was never shown extensively. This favourite picture of her was taken by our dear friend Frank Sampers from Holland at the famous Skokloster show in 1994 (Swedish Whippet Club National), where she was runner up to Best Bitch under judge Patsy Gilmour (Dumbriton).

Kittres was the most gentle and cuddly Whippet, and was always very close and faithful to her family and friends.

This picture of her and Roger is another  favourite, and show her in a situation she liked the best.

Kittre started a new line and chapter for our Signum Whippets. Here she is with three of her descendants owned by us. From right: Kittre, her son Jeff, Jeff's daughter Ana and Ana's daughter Luna as a young puppy, at Skokloster in July 1998.
