A day in the garden...

We are mourning the loss of our dear old
Ana (Ch Signum Dolce & Gabbana).
Through these sad days we are remembering
all the good times and fun we have had together,
and also feel fortunate to have her descendants here for comfort.
Ana was a one of a kind Whippet,
one of those rare treasures that life can give you.
There will never be another one like Ana,
and we feel fortunate to have had her in our lives.

And now they have turned 6 weeks...

Our "Italian Garden"-litter from TinTin & Jazz Fest
turned 5 weeks August 23rd.
The three girls are spoken for, but we are looking for the right,
loving and permanent homes for one or two of the boys!

TinTins & Jazz Fests valpar blev 5 veckor 23 augusti.
Alla tre tikarna är bokade, men vi söker efter kärleksfulla,
permanenta och rätt hem för en eller två av hanarna!

Lily (Signum Lilies & Willows)
has won yet another res-CAC in Germany. This time
in strong competition at the German Sighthound Club
Specialty outside Dresden. The judge was Keith Thornton, GB.

TinTin's puppies will turn 4 weeks on August 16th.
TinTin is a wonderful mother, and we are very happy with the little ones.
Soon we will try to get serious "stacked" pictures.

We have added yet another file in our Archives section.
This is from the American Whippet Club Eastern Specialty
that Magnus judged in 1986. More pictures will follow,
but please check the first ones, which include a previously
unpublished photograph of the great Ch Delacreme de la Renta!

Cornelia's daughter Chanel (Xciting Stop N'Stare)
came for a visit in our country garden. Her brother
Petter (Xciting Stare You Down) is still looking
for the right permanent loving home.

Int Ch Signum Guyana did well at the Sighthound Club Specialty
in Svenstavik. She won BOB from the veteran class under
Norwegian breeder-judge Arne Foss (Paper Moon), and finished
the day with runner-up to BIS.

Lily (Signum Lilies & Willows) came from Germany
for a short Summer holiday in Sweden and the shows at Tammsvik.
She made the cuts both days, and finished 2nd with UK
in the junior class at the Swedish Whippet Club National
in huge competition.
At home in Germany she is well on her way towards
the German VDH Champion-title.
Lily's sister Ella (Signum Purrs & Whispers) is still unshown,
but we managed to catch her for a stacking session
on the garden table. Her favourite business is
otherwise helping out and playing in our country garden!

It has been a very wet and rainy Summer in Sweden.
But we have also had time to enjoy some relaxed
and sunny days in the country.

Dominik's son Tiger (Ch Xciting Xtravagant Creation)
is clocking up new major awards at the shows in Sweden.
Recently he won his 3rd all-breed BIS at a Swedish KC show,
and since then he has added yet another group as well.
Well done Tiger!

They are here!
TinTin (Ch Signum Tintarella Di Luna) gave birth to 3+3 July 19th.
The proud Dad to this much awaited litter is Ch Sportingfields Jazz Fest.
The puppies and TinTin are doing fine, and TinTin is a very devoted mother
to her little ones. We have three white puppies with less brindle markings,
and three brindle puppies with less white markings.
Many thanks to Nenne Runsten for making Jazz Fest available to us.
Also many thanks to Dr. Anne-Sofie Lagerstedt
at the Swedish University Dept. of Small Animal Clinical Sciences (SLU)
in Uppsala that did the AI (intra uterine) breeding.
(Dr. Lagerstedt also did the successful AI-breedings
for the three Afghan Hound litters previously bred by Xciting.)

Lily (Signum Lilies & Willows) won res-CAC & res-CACIB
at the all-breed show in Oldenburg, Germany.
Lily is on her way for a Summer holiday in Sweden,
and we are looking forward to seeing her here again!

Today (June 14th) Cornelia's puppies turn 8 weeks.
Congratulations also to their dad Polo (Ch Parce Que du Menuel Galopin)
on winning his 2nd CC & BOB at Three Counties in England.

at the all-breed KC show in Vännäs. Well done Tiger!

Today (June 8th) Ana (Ch Signum Dolce & Gabbana) celebrates her
12th birthday! Still in good shape, she is reigning supreme at Signum
enjoying the company of her friends and family.
Retired from showing she now prefers her
favourite corner in the sofa, and most of all the freedom
at our house and garden in the country.

has been bred to Ch Sportingfields Jazz Fest (Ch Topaz Jazz Singer x Sporting Field Simplicity).

Ch Signum Guyana (Ch Birkonbrae Sweet Talking Guy x Ch Signum Dolce & Gabbana)
has made a come-back in the rings, going BOB at a Sighthound specialty
from the veteran class. She has also done well as a veteran special
and with her progeny groups. Rut's famous daughter Ch Hjortronblommas Gin Kelly
is now the proud mother of her first litter at Hjortronblomma.

Titiyo's daughter Titti (Xciting Rubies N'Roses) is a great baby-sitter!

Tiger's sister Cornelia (Ch Xciting Xplore Your Fantasy)
gave birth to 3+5 April 19th. They are bl/t and golden and sired by
the multi-titled French top-winner
Ch Parce Que du Menuel Galopin from Martial Robin's
famous kennels. This is a much awaited litter, that combines
some of the legendary Afghan Hounds bred by El Khyria (Christina Jernberg)
in Sweden and Boxadan (Lotte Jörgensen) in Denmark with
the Menuel Galopin's up-to-date "French-Scandinavian classics"
and Xciting's proven lines established already in the 70-ies!

has started the year off well with several BOB, BIG-1st,
group-placings including Sighthound Club specialty BIS
and BIS-4th at the big Easter all-breed show in Stockholm.

Today, March 6th, our dear Dominik (Ch Xciting Heart of Gold)
celebrates her 10th birthday! We salute a very special Afghan Hound lady,
and want to thank the Ekwall family for letting Dominik
be an important part of our canine family.
We have added several pictures in Dominik's own pages.
She is everything we ever dreamed of and more.
Dominik is also an important link to Magnus early days in dogs.

Winter has got a firm grip on Stockholm right now.
Our beautiful city is all dressed in white.
The Whippets and Afghan Hounds love this weather,
while the Chihuahuas get lost in inches and inches of snow.
This made us long for Spring, and the wild strawberries
picked in our country garden last year!

Our youngest Whippet "Ella" (Signum Purrs & Whispers)
turned 1 year Jan 7th. She is a very busy teenager,
but by Spring we hope to catch her on film standing still
as well as giving her her own pages!

Chihuahua News:
"Fifi" (Xciting Fifi Does Philadelphia) is very
proud of her puppies 1+2 sired by Ch ZZMan's Laser Flame.
Later this year there might be more "little ones" at Xciting.
"Tiara" (Xciting Pearls N'Tiaras) and her sisters are also impatient
in getting ready for the Spring and Summer shows.

While we are waiting for "TinTin" to be bred,
we got good news from Iva at Merci Isle.
"Swan" (Ch Merci Isle Velvet Hammer) whelped her
litter Feb 24th! The puppies (5+3) are sired by their
Australian visitor "Sav" (Am & Aust Ch Byerley Savile Row).
